I have always believed in God for as long as I can remember. Both my parents were Christians and we regularly attended our local Catholic Church where I was christened as a baby. I also attended a Catholic school.

Being a Christian has helped me in some difficult times in my life. My Mum passed away in December 2003 and I believe that God answered my prayers by allowing me to be close to my Mum and hold her hand as she passed.

I also believed God answered my prayers in April 2014 my Father was very sick with cancer. I visited him after a receiving a message from my brother early in the morning. Towards the end he was in a lot of pain. He was struggling and very weak. I sat by his bedside and prayed to God that if it was time please God take him.

Later that day I received a phone call to say he had passed.

In happier times God has answered my prayers by bringing me and my wife Leah together and blessing me with a wonderful son and daughter Bradley and Ellie.

God has answered my prayers many times but the list would go on and on.

My Mum and Dad started my journey with faith in the Catholic Church and when I met my wife Leah she got me back on my journey in Kingswood Baptist Church.

So now reflecting on my life I feel it is the time to follow the command of Jesus and be baptised as an act of faith and repentance.

I am most looking forward to being a part of God’s family at KBC and growing closer to him.
