Do you ever find yourself pondering questions about Jesus, church, faith, the meaning of life and what comes after life? Many of us do and end up with not just a few but many questions! Followers of Jesus have had a number of these questions answered and have a few new ones too. Read on to discover some answers to these key questions…

Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the one and only, eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

As the Son of God He perfectly reveals to humankind what God is like: His mercy, grace, love, justice, righteousness, wisdom and much more. He is also the only one to ever live perfectly doing the will of God. Part of which was to die on the cross and in doing so make a way for humankind to be saved from sin.

Thankfully He did not stay dead but rather God raised Jesus from the dead and with a glorified body Jesus appeared to His disciples; sometimes just one of them, sometimes all the disciples together and at another time to a crowd. After forty days He ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of God.

What did Jesus do?

What did Jesus do?

Jesus gave us the gospel—a way to be reconciled to God. Gospel is a word that simply means “good news.” Although that is probably a slight understatement because it is the greatest news ever shared!

It begins with the creation of the world and humankind living in loving worshipful relationship with God, includes humankind’s separation from God because of sin, details God’s loving redemption plan through Jesus Christ and His death and culminates in a way being made open for men and women to be reconciled to God once again.

So, what next?

So, what next?

It’s an open invitation; all are invited to come to Jesus, trusting Him as the Saviour and following Him as Lord.

Our proper response to who Jesus is and the Good News about him is shown in repentance (turning away from sin and towards God) and faith (believing that Jesus alone has the power to save us from sin and bring us into a relationship with God).

As a Church Family we would love to help you in that journey. We invite you to join us for one of our Sunday Services during which we will grow together in a deeper understanding of the Good News and God’s purposes for our lives. If you would like us to pray for you do let us know—you can do so here.
